# List top assets by market cap

Returns the top assets ranked by market capitalization, in descending order. Use `limit` to control how many entries are returned.

## Parameters

| Name | In | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `limit` | query | integer | no | Maximum number of assets to return. Defaults to `10`; maximum is `50`. |

## Responses

Every error status returns the same body, described in [Errors](https://docs.truemarkets.co/developer-resources/errors.md).

List of assets with market cap data

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `assets` | array of object | no | List of assets with market cap, sorted by market cap descending |
| `assets[].symbol` | string | no | The asset symbol |
| `assets[].market_cap` | string | no | Market capitalization in USD (as string to preserve precision) |
