# Get price candles by symbol

GET https://api.truemarkets.co/v1/defi/market/prices
```

Returns the latest price candles (open/high/low/close) for an asset across
multiple standard intervals (1h, 4h, 24h). Useful for rendering at-a-glance
price summaries.

## Parameters

| Name | In | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `symbol` | query | string | yes | Asset symbol to fetch candles for (e.g. `SOL`, `BTC`). |
| `asset_class` | query | string, one of `spot`, `perp` | no | Asset class to resolve the symbol in. Defaults to `spot`; if the symbol has no spot listing at all, falls back to `perp`. |

## Responses

Every error status returns the same body, described in [Errors](https://docs.truemarkets.co/developer-resources/errors.md).

Price candle data for the requested symbol

| Field | Type | Required | Description |

| `symbol` | string | no | The asset symbol |
| `candles` | array of object | no | List of price candles for different time intervals |
| `candles[].interval` | string | no | Time interval for the candle (e.g., 1h, 4h, 24h) |
| `candles[].openPrice` | string | no | Opening price for the interval |
| `candles[].closePrice` | string | no | Closing price for the interval |
| `candles[].highPrice` | string | no | Highest price during the interval |
| `candles[].lowPrice` | string | no | Lowest price during the interval |

Bad request - symbol parameter is required

### 404

Symbol not found
