True Markets CeFi FIX

FIX (Financial Information eXchange) is the standard protocol for institutional order flow. These pages describe every FIX message the True Markets exchange accepts and sends.

The exchange follows FIX 5.0 SP2. The header carries the application version (FIX50SP2) separately from the session version (FIXT.1.1).

A FIX session is a long-lived connection that you log on to once and keep open. The exchange runs three kinds:

  • Order entry: place, amend and cancel orders.
  • Market data: read the instrument list and subscribe to order books.
  • Drop copy: a read-only copy of every execution and order event on your account, for allocation, compliance and audit.

FIX runs over a private network connection that we set up with your firm during onboarding. See Access and credentials.

The TrueX_FIX50SP2.xml specification file works with QuickFIX and similar engines. For questions or access, email [email protected].
